Jenna Jakes

Jenna Cornell aka Jenna Jakes

Jenna Cornell holds an MFA in Creative and Professional Writing. An active artist herself in several creative endeavors, she loves music and the guts it takes to pursue a passion.  As a DJ, she spent seven years behind the mic spinning tunes and interviewing artists. From Star 98 to WOGB and NASH FM to Fox 96.9, she's had her fair share of radio gigs as an on-air personality and been involved in the production end of things, too. Jenna has also been a music journalist since 2011 and interviewed local, national, and international artists (she's not a name dropper, but she might tell you in close company). For her, discussing not only the music but also the creative process is key.  Jenna loves diving into the art of music rather than misguided or mishandled gossip. With all of that, she has been passionate about Wisconsin's underground music industry. A quiet yet bolstering sector of talent, she is determined to get the word out there about it.
